Systems Engineer

Title: Infrastructure Systems Engineer
Location: Can be located in Houston, Ogden, Ft. Lauderdale, Denver, Newark, Philadelphia, Bay Area
Duration: Contract-to-Hire
Travel Requirements: 25% travel will be required
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US. 3^rd party candidates represented by sub-vendors will not be considered.
 
Overview:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for and knowledgeable in supporting aspects of design, deployment, and management of technologies to include Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, Hybrid exchange and Email security platforms, Server monitoring, Virtual Server management, Network routing & switching, Cloud Technology (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), Microsoft M365 suite and administration, and Microsoft Security.
 
Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage infrastructure solutions on premise and/or cloud technologies
• Lead/Work on system initiatives and new projects
• Tier I – Tier III Support for all infrastructure systems
• Works with IT staff to determine specific needs and how to best implement technical solutions
• Analyzes and resolves network-related issues and responds to issues in a timely manner
• Must be able to work independently to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, identify, and isolate technical issues
• Conduct after-hours maintenance as needed
• Resolve all escalated support tickets
• Involved in the design and configuration process of new systems and technology
• Travel to newly acquired sites for discovery and implementation, as needed

 
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
• 5-10 years of IT infrastructure experience
• Experience with Microsoft architecture, services, and support
• Strong experience in Azure based technology, including Azure AD, Intune, M365, etc.
• PowerShell or other scripting language preferred
• Deep understanding of all aspects of administering and maintaining corporate networking and systems infrastructure, including MPLS, VPN, network connectivity, Internet access, exchange, servers, etc.
• Must have ability to communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally to technical and non-technical audiences
