Senior DBA – Oracle/SQL

• Provides day-to-day management and implementation of the client's database environment including administration, backup and recovery activities, and change control.
• Processes service tickets; troubleshoots system issues, resolves database related incidents and completes maintenance requests.
• Configures, tests, installs, and migrates new instances and databases in lab and production environments.
• Monitors and analyzes performance including capacity planning, system checks and audits; makes recommendations for improvements and completes requests for additional resources and support as needed.
• Serves as a resource for the audit and security departments when needed.
• Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

Competencies Required:

• Solid understanding of database administration, management, and relate files and data to production events and outcomes.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft database replication technologies including Availability Groups and Mirroring.
• Strong technology and troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of a broad range of related software such as SQL, Oracle, Powershell, Azure, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and prioritize workload in a high-pressure, results-oriented environment, utilizing Agile and DevOps.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
• Flexibility to provide after hours and weekend support on occasion to support business needs.
• Ability to quickly comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and master new programs and systems including but not limited to Service Now, Sentry One and Rubrik.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• 5+ years administrating or supporting SQL Server database systems with coding experience required.
• Strong PowerShell experience required. 
• Experience with Oracle and Azure highly desired.
• Financial services or banking industry experience preferred.

• Associate's degree in technology, business, or related field preferred.
• Industry recognized system administration or development certification preferred.
