Title: Industrial Engineer II
Location: Anderson, SC
Duration: 6 month contract with possible extension
Compensation: $30-34 per hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:
Onsite M-TH, can work remotely on Fridays
Must be proficient in excel, pivot tables
At least 1 year of PowerBi experience
Must have degree 4 year degree in Engineering or Supply Chain
2-5 years experience related experience required
SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Industrial Engineer serves as a project manager, process improvement leader, inventory profiling expert, and system designer. The Industrial Engineer will lead projects that drive enhanced productivity and quality throughout the Supply Chain. The job will require the incumbent to learn and document current processes and systems, develop metrics where none currently exist, and implement process changes with operational leaders. This could also require system redesign and implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and implement the overall Supply Chain strategy using EMS/MEP guidelines
Determines efficient utilization of resources by analyzing layouts, labor force, equipment, driver and equipment utilization charts
Improve Supply Chain processes through application of lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste, costs and improve quality
Perform, analyze, and summarize ergonomic studies as needed
Understand and utilize 5S, 7 Waste, VSM and problem solving tools
Develop and implement effective work place layouts using AutoCAD as required
Timely completion of projects and reports
Define and calculate total cost impacts for projects
Supports business development and helps create efficient designs and solutions processes
Troubleshooting and analyzing process and/or equipment performance for improved quality and uptime
Ensure environmental compliance
Develop a continuous improvement environment challenging the norms and seeking alternative ways
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Supply Chain required
3 5 years of Supply Chain experience including packaging, flow definition, layout development, conveying and product handling
Appliance or similar product assembly experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Proficient in PowerBi

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone. The employee frequently is required to drive, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
