Title:  Junior Network Engineer
Location: McKinney, TX – Hybrid 2 days onsite / 3 days remote
Duration: Direct Hire
Compensation: Salary – $80K
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
 
Job Description:
As a Junior Network Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced senior engineers to support, design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on networking experience and hold a CCNA certification, with preference given to those with two or more years of experience. If the candidate does not possess a CCNA, Network+ certification is an acceptable alternative.

Job Description:

• Assist senior network engineers in the design, configuration, and implementation of network solutions.
• Participate in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure network security and data integrity.
• Monitor network performance and proactively address issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to user-reported network issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Assist in creating and maintaining network documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various IT projects.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging networking technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• CCNA certification is required. CCNP certification is a plus.
• At least one year of practical experience in network administration and support. Two or more years of experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewall, VPN, etc.).
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Network+ certification is acceptable if no CCNA certification is held.
