Job Description:
INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for one of its global transportation clients in Miami, FL. Focusing on both IT Network Infrastructure & Telecom, this individual is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing complex network infrastructure and telecommunications systems. Your role will involve ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of the organization's network and telecommunications services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide expertise in network and telecom technologies.

Responsibilities

1. Network Design and Implementation:
   • Design, implement, and maintain network and telecommunications systems, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and voice-over-IP (VoIP) services.
   • Develop network architecture plans and ensure scalability and redundancy to meet business requirements.
2. Network Optimization:
   • Continuously monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, outages, or other issues.
   • Optimize network configurations to enhance performance and efficiency.
3. Troubleshooting and Support:
   • Diagnose and resolve complex network and telecom issues, providing technical support to resolve incidents and service requests.
   • Collaborate with other IT teams to address and resolve cross-functional issues.
4. Vendor Management:
   • Work with telecom service providers and equipment vendors to procure and manage necessary hardware, software, and services.
   • Evaluate vendor offerings and make recommendations for technology upgrades.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate network and telecom documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and equipment inventory.
   • Generate reports and provide insights on network performance and utilization.
6. Capacity Planning:
   • Assess network and telecom capacity and plan for future growth, ensuring the infrastructure meets business needs.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
• Several years of experience in network engineering and telecom management.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent, are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and telecommunications technologies.
• Proficiency in network and telecom hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VoIP systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
