Azure Architect

Title: Azure Architect
Location: Remote  
Duration: 6-12 month contract to hire
Compensation: $84-88 HR
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
 
Job Description:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture strategy that supports current and future business needs.
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance data models for both transactional and analytical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective data solutions.

 
Cloud Integration:

• Architect, implement, and manage cloud-based data solutions, leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ensure seamless integration of on-premises and cloud-based data systems.
• Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval in the cloud environment.
• Database Management:
• Oversee the selection, deployment, and management of databases, including relational and NoSQL databases.
• Implement and enforce data governance and security measures to protect sensitive information.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to database schemas, configurations, and processes.

Data Modeling:

• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Implement best practices for data modeling, data profiling, and data quality assurance.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure effective data representation for analytical purposes.
• Performance Optimization:
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data systems, ensuring optimal data processing and retrieval times.
• Implement and maintain data caching, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, data scientists, and IT teams, to understand and address data-related requirements.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in database design, data modeling, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
• Experience with Big Data technologies and frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
