Title: Workday Manager
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Position Summary:
The Workday Manager oversees and ensures the stability and accuracy of the organization's HRIS system. This role involves confirming that the configurations, security measures, and processes align with the goals and needs of the HR and technology departments and those of the overall company. The position includes guiding the development, construction, and growth of Workday throughout the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Projects ownership and authority regarding the Workday experience across the entire organization.
  • Projects capable HR leadership capabilities in their own right.
  • Strategic Planning: Developing long-term strategies for HRIS functionalities and team growth.
  • HRIS System Management: Managing and maintaining the Workday HRIS to ensure its effectiveness and reliability.
  • Data Integrity and Security: Ensuring the accuracy and security of HR data within the system.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Keeping abreast of legal and regulatory requirements affecting HRIS and ensuring compliance. Work closely with Information Security and Information Technology to assure data resiliency
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seeking and implementing improvements in HRIS processes.
  • User Training and Support: Providing training and support to HRIS users across the organization.
  • Performance Management: Evaluating team performance and providing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Budget Management: Overseeing the budget for HRIS operations and initiatives.
  • Vendor Management: Managing relationships with HRIS vendors and service providers.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Developing and overseeing the generation of HRIS reports and analytics.
  • Technology Integration: Ensuring seamless integration of HRIS with other organizational technologies.
  • Change Management: Leading change management initiatives related to HRIS.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicating effectively with stakeholders about HRIS matters.
  • User Experience Enhancement: Focusing on improving the user experience within the Workday HRIS.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Addressing and resolving HRIS issues as they arise.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Establishing policies and procedures for HRIS usage.
  • Team Development and Training: Ensuring the Workday team is well-trained and up-to-date with the latest HRIS trends and technologies.
  • BSc/BA in relevant field preferred.
  • 10 years of Workday experience
  • At least 2 years leading teams providing Workday support
  • Excellent knowledge of compliance systems and infrastructure.
  • Background in designing/developing HRIS systems.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
