This company seeks to craft the best user experiences and artifacts through their knowledge of systemic design, graphic design, layout, typography, color theory, illustration, and accessibility standards. Designers collaborate with teams across both artistic and design problem solvers. They understand users and ask questions about the message, audience, and ultimate goal when solving a communication challenge.

In this role as a Visual Design Artist II on the Art & Design Services team, you will support the company's  Internal Comms organization through the creation of logos, presentations, event graphics, illustrations, and other assets that not only present a clear message but tell a compelling story. The Internal Comms team shapes our internal environment by creating programs and moments that celebrate a playful, informal, and passionate culture. They help tell the emotionally resonant stories that connect us to players and our mission via smart, well-crafted, and authentic communication.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to understand the importance of established templates, but know sometimes it's better to color outside the lines. You can lead a project from start to finish, actively seek feedback, understand how to manage tight timelines and have excellent communication skills. This role reports to the Manager of Art & Design Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally to develop program brand identities, templates, presentations, illustrations, and style guides
  • Create engaging assets that are accessible and within the brand guidelines
  • Champion best practices and guidelines for assets you design across the organization
  • Develop a relationship with the Internal Comms team. Conduct intake interviews for new projects and ask the right questions to ensure that requirements are clear and scoped

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional experience as a Visual Designer
  • Experience working in Branding, Graphic Design, Presentation Design, Illustration, and Digital Products
  • Experience independently working cross-functionally with leadership in a large corporation
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Slides
  • Experience pitching creative direction for projects to a leadership team
  • Ability to discover and understand the use cases, needs, burning questions, and pain points of the customer and audience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects
  • Proficiency in 2D motion graphic creation
  • Proficient in video editing is a plus
  • Experience with LumApps a plus
