Title: Business Architect (Employee Time Tracking System)
Location: Remote – PST hours
Duration: 12+ months
Compensation: $80-90/hr.
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders, or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

 
Project Scope: This role will be working with the Time System (Infor) Implementation projects on the technical team as a business architect. This role is responsible for translating business needs into technical requirements, writing “user stories” for development, and design, assessing technical integrations, and participating in testing. Participate as a leader in agile ceremonies, support, and lead teams, and manage assignment of work to other team members. Scaling to run multiple projects simultaneously. This role is a business architect that can take on technical or business work, and lead and support team members in activities, and prioritization to complete the project work. This role will partner with the business owners to architect a solution and identify and mitigate risks—understanding and ownership in an agile environment. HCM software experience preferably with time systems, and Infor desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the translation of business needs to technical solutions in support of project delivery and success.
  • Partner with teams to understand business requirements.
  • Lead functional and technical design sessions.
  • Architect for the business and technical requirements.
  • Lead creation of documentation (ex. requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, technical specs, design documents, process flows)
  • Participate as a product owner in agile ceremonies (ex. scrum, sprint planning, demos)
  • Direct scrum team member work, prioritize, and ensure completion.
  • Partner with technical implementation team(s) to provide documentation or information needed and ensure what is built aligns with the requirements.
  • Responsible for traceability of business requirements through technical specs and test cases.
  • Work with the business to confirm test scenarios, and validate design, test data & results.
  • Execute testing including developing, reviewing, or executing test scripts, test results, and defect triage.
  • Validate product to acceptance criteria.
  • Responsible for inputs into the Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions (RAID) log pertaining to business architecture; proactively identify issues and analyze options to resolve; work with the project management team.
  • Collaborates closely with partners across the organization including business partners, solution architects, and delivery managers.
  • Builds strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders at multiple levels, from end users to executives, across the enterprise.

Qualification:

  • Technology project experience (complex environment).
  • Preferred: Time system implementation experience (Infor desired).
  • Media and/or Entertainment industry experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Results-oriented, biased toward action, effective communication, consensus-building, and presentation skills.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate well to both technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to effectively manage project stakeholders across multiple levels across the enterprise.
  • Strong collaboration skills and collaborates well with a team.
  • Ability to break down and solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrates resilience and perseverance.

  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree.
