Location: 100%Remote (Houston, TX Area)

Compensation: $23hr

Job Summary:
The Broker Support Representative helps team members who support the indirect sales channel which includes brokers, aggregators, and authorized representatives. The team is responsible for end-to-end support of third-party intermediaries, from vetting, contracting, onboarding, payment, dispute resolution, and working with sales relationship leads during the lifecycle of contract relationships.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receiving daily production assignments to support team.
  • Entering data based on standard work process and procedures.
  • Monitoring shared mailbox; interpreting and evaluating broker related requests and routing to correct subject matter expert.
  • Pulling and updating reports, as directed.
  • Providing high-quality communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
  • Other duties as required based on projects and business needs.

Working Conditions:

  • Remote work schedule – in office only as needed (Houston-based role)
  • Professional, fast-paced, high-intensity office environment.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • Applicable combination of education, training, and experience acceptable
  • 1-3 years of experience working for a utility in any of the following, commercial billing, commercial products, broker payments, research and escalated customer issue resolution for Commercial and Industrial customers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Commercial Billing
  • Commercial Products
  • Broker Payments
  • Escalated customer issue resolution- Commercial accounts 
  • SQL base experience preferred, but not required (used to query and search internal data)
