Title: Network Technician
Location: Mobile, supporting Seattle, WA, and surrounding areas
Duration: Long term contract with possible extension or hire
Compensation: Hourly position based upon experience and skill set ($28 – $30/hour)
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Job Description: 

Deliver and configure network infrastructure equipment, services and solutions needed to support client networking systems and environments. Perform day-to-day field installation, configuration, service, preventive maintenance, and decommission of dedicated and shared data infrastructure such as computers, network equipment and/or other telecommunications and network devices.

Position Details: 

• Hourly position based upon experience & skill level
• Contract with possible contract extension or hire
• Standard work hours: Mon-Fri 9:00am – 6:00pm (OT, may include nights and weekends)
• Location: Mainly will support sites in & around Seattle, WA, but will occasionally support Client sites throughout WA & OR.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

Qualities:

• Must be able to clearly communicate with the customers, General Contractors and other employees.
• Must be a responsible, reliable and dedicated.
• Has great communication skills.
• Install and trouble shoot cabling
•  Can provide connectivity to user end devices
•   Provide layer 1 support
•  Basic telephony skills / knowledge
•  Good customer service and relations 
•  Rack and Stack
•   Knowledge on switches and routers
•   VOIP
•   Wireless Access Points
• Extend circuits from the mpoe through the riser system to devices in the MDF or IDF.
•  Trouble shoot circuits
•   Knowledge of hyper terminal and putty
•  Renovations
• Switch Upgrades
•  Memory Installs
•  VOIP upgrades
•  Large scale user relocations.
•  Can work independently or with a team.
•  Capable of taking instructions or leading a team giving instruction
•  Completes numerous tickets daily
•  Routing / Mapping out their route in the best order to complete all assigned work orders.
•  Must have a personal smart phone with a hotspot
•  Returns phone calls, text messages and emails in a timely manner
•  Needs to know Word and Excel
