Database Administrator

Technical landscape:

Handful databases 2-3 terabytes of data
200-250 virtual servers 98% windows, some linux
Network – support colo and lenexa
LDUs scatter across the country, internet, wifi
Telephony – call center onsite, moving to webex offsite
Cisco shop

Top required skills:

SQL Administration experience – need to have maintained and troubleshooting experience with SQL Databases
Tuning performance of SQL
Development experience or exposure – will work with developers to tune and repair SQL Databases
Understand and create best practices
