Title: Program Manager
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: Direct Hire
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Role is responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for project completions and bidding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling work, helping preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors and determining cost effectiveness.
  • Maintain bill of material and other components of job costing database
  • Consults with engineers and vendors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve any issues
  • Load awarded project budgets into timberline system for reporting
  • Assist Project Managers with tracking and controlling construction schedules and costs to achieve completion of projects
  • Assist in the project handoff process between Estimating and the Project Manager in pre-construction meeting
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and send out weekly budget reports
  • Prepare estimate spreadsheets and information transfers between computer programs
  • Prioritize work and complete in a timely manor
  • Help prepare proposal packages for bid submission
  • Participate in pre-bid conferences and project meetings
  • Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer
  • Lead through example in all areas of company safety and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:
Must be willing to travel out of market/state for meetings with customers or to visit job sites May be required to work long hours and meet project deadlines

Technical Skills:

  • Program Management experience
  • Proven organizational and planning capabilities
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel applications
  • Demonstrates the ability to compute rate, ration and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Demonstrates a sense of urgency in responding to all situations and the ability to manage ongoing changes
  • Demonstrates the application of business knowledge by using academic knowledge and on the job experiences when resolving issues
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team on projects and assignments
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug test.
  • Ability to travel often to project sites

  • Maintain effective working relationships
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment in resolving matters of scope and complexity
  • Supervisory Requirements: None

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements. Travel is required for this position. Usually between 20 to 30% of the time.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but we will except 3-5 years' experience in lieu of degree.
