Title: WAN Incident Support Tech
Location: Irving, TX – Onsite Monday – Friday
Duration: Long Term Contract
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
 
Job Description:
Tasks:
Monitor overall WAN health and up/down status for 500 locations across the US and Canada.
Manage the service restoration process for sites experiencing a WAN outage, working with our internal Global IT team, 3 rd party WAN management company, the ISP and contacts at the affected site.
Attend bi-weekly meetings with our 3 rd party WAN management company and primary ISPs to review outages, escalate chronic issues and improve the incident handling process.

Skills:
Excellent network troubleshooting skills in a Cisco environment.
Experience working with WAN services (Internet, MPLS, ADSL, broadband, fiber, DMVPN, SD-WAN) routing protocols and experience working with service providers.
Experience working with Cisco switch command line commands typically used for troubleshooting network related issues.
Experience working with WAN monitoring tools such as Orion/SolarWinds, NetFlow.
Experience working with IT ticketing systems.
Well organized, detail oriented, able to multitask, work well under pressure.
Good communication skills, via email or voice using Teams or phone.
Strong Excel skills

Reporting to Country Operations Manager (Remote) with strong dotted line to Network Manager (Local)
