Data Warehouse Developer (T-SQL/SSIS) – Long Term Project – Charlotte, NC

Title: Data Warehouse Developer (T-SQL/SSIS)
Location: Charlotte, NC preferred, second option is Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6+ months contract with possible extensions
Compensation: $50-56.50/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

We are seeking a software engineer to assist with expanding existing SQL Server data load processes built in SSIS for our Retail Credit Risk Management group. This preferably onsite position (Charlotte) involves adding new data sources, creating and validating logic, developing processes to integrate these sources into our database, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the output.

Top 3 Skills Required:
1. Proficient in T-SQL with experience in MS SQL Server 2019 or greater
2. Experienced in SSIS
3. Strong oral communication skills

What are 3 NICE TO HAVE skills (or experience) that are preferred, but not required?
1. Experience with Azure Cloud Services (i.e., Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, ADF, SQL MI)
2. Skills in requirements gathering
3. Experience with technical documentation

Experience Required: Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in software engineering or data management roles, with a strong emphasis on SQL Server environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) systems for our Microsoft SQL Server Data Warehouse using Integration Services (SSIS) and other database objects like stored procedures, views, and tables.
  • Work closely with risk managers to review potential data sources, ensuring integration processes are aligned with business needs.
  • Perform query performance tuning to optimize data loads and outputs for user queries.
  • Additional Information: This role requires someone who is familiar with data flow diagrams and can effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
