Title: Facilities Technicians Supervisor

Compensation: 60k – 65k

The Facilities Services Supervisor will oversee the Facilities Services Technicians and be responsible for running the maintenance and service division of Facilities. The Facilities Services Supervisor will ensure the school facilities and buildings are regularly inspected and maintained according to relevant regulations, agency standards, and fiscal considerations.
Essential Functions
- Actively supports and acts in accordance with the school's mission and values.
- Works under the supervision of the Facilities Assistant Manager.
- Supervises the Facilities Services Technicians at all times.
- Assists the Facilities Operations Senior Supervisor with hiring, training, and evaluating the Service Technicians
- Coordinates with Facilities Operations Senior Supervisor on performance evaluations of Facilities Services Technicians that are timely and constructive.
- Promptly communicate and advise the Facilities Operations Senior Supervisor of any concerns or issues with Facilities Services Technicians and make recommendations for discipline, advancement, or termination.
- Works closely with the Facilities Services Technicians, conducting building inspections and monitoring various PMs and work orders for implementation and completion.
- Proficient in the work order and preventative maintenance systems for all facilities.
- Complete work orders and assigned PM's when needed.
- Together with the Facilities Operations Senior Supervisor, reviews outstanding work orders and PM's on a daily/weekly basis to limit any lag in completion of assignments.
- Report any need for outside vendor assistance to get work orders and PM's completed.
- In cooperation with the Facilities Department leadership, ensures all contractors are following their contracted duties for PM's and work orders.
- Provides support in implementing all policies and procedures with technicians and vendors.
- Reviews work orders and preventive maintenance processes for technicians and vendors to ensure they are being completed in a timely manner as dictated by the work order or PM in question.
- Assigns tasks to Facilities Services Technicians, porters, and external contractors.
- Maintains and manages supplies required by the Facilities Services Department and outside services.
- Works with Facilities Logistics Supervisor on school activities and event set-up when Technicians are needed.
- Responsible for monthly building inspections and semi-annual PMs on all school properties.
- Responsible for training Facilities Services Technicians to ensure they understand operational procedures when hired and/or when ongoing training is needed.
- Point and contact person for the President's house property management.
- Essential Position – This position is essential, particularly during emergencies and school closures.
- Other duties as assigned.

- May be required to work outside or inside.
- Able to tolerate high noise conditions, distraction of students, and extended exposure to weather conditions.
- Standing, repetitive movements, lifting weights of various amounts (up 85 lb), sitting on floor, bending/squatting, walking, etc.
- May be required to climb steps, and/or to walk to various departments on campus.
- May be required to work in a sitting and/or standing position for long periods of time.
- May be required to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- On call for emergency needs – 24/7 on-call scheduled rotation times only.
- May be required to work weekends.
- Physical effort required by the job includes standing, climbing stairs, stooping, pulling, pushing carts, and lifting up 85 lbs.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
Minimum
High school graduate or GED.
- Facilities Certification.
- Two years of supervisory experience.
- Four years' experience in the Facilities field.
- Must hold a valid Florida driver's license and must be insurable by our property and liability carrier for vehicle operation.
