Location: Atlanta, GA Hybrid on site. 
Duration: 2 to 3 months.
Compensation: $25 to $35 per hour W2
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US 
 
Job Description:  
Government Contracting Specialist with expertise in System for Award Management (SAM) certification, General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule certification, and federal contracting processes. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the registration, compliance, and maintenance of government contracts, ensuring company remains eligible and competitive in the federal marketplace.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with SAM.gov, GSA Schedules, federal procurement regulations, and contract acquisition processes, supporting business development efforts to secure and manage government contracts.
 Key Responsibilities:
SAM & GSA Certification & Compliance
• Manage and oversee the SAM registration and renewal process, ensuring all company data is up to date and compliant with federal requirements.
• Lead the GSA Schedule certification process, including gathering required documentation, completing applications, and submitting necessary forms to obtain and maintain GSA Multiple Award Schedules (MAS).
• Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) when applying for and managing government contracts.
• Maintain and update NAICS codes, UEI (Unique Entity Identifier), CAGE codes, and other regulatory information in SAM.gov.
• Assist in securing small business certifications (e.g., WOSB, VOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a)) to enhance eligibility for government opportunities.
Government Contracting Support
• Support the preparation, submission, and management of government bids, proposals, and contract documents in coordination with the Business Development and Legal teams.
• Research and identify GSA opportunities, contract vehicles, and federal procurement methods relevant to services.
• Provide guidance on GSA pricing strategies, compliance reporting, and contract modifications.
• Monitor and track government contract expiration dates, amendments, and renewal opportunities to ensure timely action.
• Work with legal and finance teams to ensure contract terms, pricing, and compliance align with company policies and objectives.
Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
• Serve as the primary point of contact with government agencies, including GSA, SAM.gov administrators, and contracting officers.
• Collaborate with business development, finance, and legal teams to ensure accurate documentation and proposal submissions.
• Work closely with third-party consultants, attorneys, and compliance specialists to manage complex regulatory requirements.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
• Stay updated on federal procurement regulations, policy changes, and best practices to ensure continued compliance.
• Conduct internal audits to verify GSA contract pricing, modifications, and reporting obligations.
• Support internal teams in understanding contracting obligations, compliance reporting, and performance metrics for government projects.

Skillset / Experience:  
• 3-5+ years of experience in government contracting, GSA Schedule applications, or SAM.gov management.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement policies.
• Experience in GSA contract preparation, negotiations, and compliance reporting.
• Proficiency in SAM.gov, eOffer/eMod, GSA Advantage, and other federal contracting systems.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with government officials, internal stakeholders, and vendors.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Government Contracting, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or FAC-C Level I certification.
• Experience in securing GSA Schedules, GWACs, IDIQs, and BPAs.
• Background in proposal writing, contract negotiation, or compliance auditing.
