Overview
A global media and entertainment technology organization is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Growth, Commerce, and Identity engineering team. This group is responsible for building the core subscription, sign-up, purchase, and account management experiences that power some of the most widely used streaming platforms in the world. The team operates on a shared platform across multiple streaming products, moving fast and collaborating closely across engineering, product, and design.
You will serve as a high-level technical resource and go-to engineer on the Web Commerce team — solving complex architectural challenges, driving code quality, and mentoring the engineers around you. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in building consumer-facing web experiences that are seamless, scalable, and performant at massive scale.
 
What You Will Be Doing

• Build and maintain the core sign-up, purchase, and subscription management experiences for a high-traffic consumer web platform used by millions of users globally
• Collaborate closely with product and project management to translate business requirements into technical specifications and delivery timelines
• Partner with other engineering teams to design and deliver integrated solutions across a shared technology platform
• Lead by example in writing clean, well-documented, and robust code with a strong commitment to test-driven development
• Drive continuous improvement in development practices, coding standards, and system architecture across the team
• Support software throughout the full lifecycle including new feature development, technical maintenance, and documentation
• Apply sound engineering judgment to solve complex, architectural-level technical challenges
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and technical leadership
• Review pull requests to ensure product and design specifications are met to a high standard

 
What You Need to Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience building highly scalable and performant modern JavaScript and TypeScript web applications
• Proven ability to integrate API specifications while collaborating effectively with backend service teams
• Strong track record of writing well-documented, clear, and maintainable code in production environments
• Experience designing end-to-end workflows and seeing complex projects through from inception to delivery
• Ability to operate effectively under pressure, manage urgent timelines, and maintain composure in a fast-moving environment
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and support other developers through trust-building, instruction, and constructive feedback
• BS degree in Computer Science, a related STEM discipline, or equivalent professional experience
