Cable Technician

Title: Cable Technician  

Location: Raleigh, NC

Duration: 6 Month contract to hire

Compensation: $16-$22/hr

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US

Job Description:

Looking for Level 1 and Level 2 Cable Technicians

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation, termination, testing and troubleshooting of Cat 6 cables.
• Work with various cable that include but are not limited to: twisted pair, coax, power limited tray, stranded, solid conductor low voltage, Category 5, Category 6, single and multi -mode fiber optic cables.
• Installation of ladder racks, J-hooks, wireless access points, patch panels etc.
• Working in commercial environments (schools, government facilities, warehouses, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

• Full PPE required (Hard hat, work boots, safety vest, glasses, gloves)
• Must have basic cabling hand tools (screw driver, snips, crimper, etc.)
• Basic understanding of structured cabling, knowing the color codes are a plus
• Comfortable working on ladders, lift certification is a plus.
