Title: Engineering Project Coordinator

Location: Remote – United States (PST preferred)

Duration: 12 months (Strong possibility of extension)

Compensation: $40-$60/hr

Work Requirements: Authorized to work in the United States

Skillset / Experience:

The Engineering Project Coordinator will lead process adoption, optimization, and operational rigor for hardware teams managing New Technology Introduction (NTI) initiatives. This role focuses on process standardization, tool and database management, reporting, and cross-functional coordination to enable efficient hardware development and executive visibility across complex programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver concise monthly status updates to senior leadership, partnering with technical and program leads to communicate progress, risks, and key decisions

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve NTI processes, ensuring consistency, scalability, and transparency across hardware teams

  • Facilitate the sharing of NTI best practices, updates, and documentation across cross-functional partners

  • Own NTI database management, ensuring accurate documentation, strong data hygiene, and alignment across teams

  • Establish data standards, conduct regular audits, and build dashboards to visualize NTI metrics and trends

  • Lead quarterly review sessions with executive-level stakeholders to assess progress, prioritize initiatives, and ensure strategic alignment

  • Define and document workflows for new NTI discoveries, including intake, approval, and tracking processes

  • Support cross-functional coordination across engineering disciplines to ensure smooth execution of ongoing initiatives

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, process improvement, or tool adoption roles

  • Demonstrated experience building and sustaining processes for cross-functional teams

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities

  • Experience driving change management initiatives in fast-paced, matrixed environments

  • Some exposure to hardware development or technical engineering teams

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with AR, wearables, or consumer hardware technologies

  • Understanding of consumer hardware development lifecycles

  • Experience supporting contractor or contingent workforce models

  • Familiarity with workflow automation or tooling platforms (e.g., AppSheets or similar tools)

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in an engineering or technical discipline

  • Open to other fields of study with equivalent, relevant experience
