Title: Test Engineer
 Location: Remote (EST Hours)  
Duration: Initial 6 Month Contract

Compensation: $55-62/HR W2
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders

We are seeking a proactive QA Tester / Test Engineer to support a large-scale Cloud Core Transformation initiative. This role focuses on validating applications as they transition to cloud-based platforms and ensuring quality across a complex, mixed-technology environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable operating in changing environments and willing to stretch beyond assigned tasks to help move initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, write, execute, and maintain test cases for applications undergoing cloud transformation
  • Support testing efforts across cloud-based, web, Dynamics, PEGA, and legacy/mainframe applications
  • Work within Azure DevOps, including managing test plans and test cases
  • Collaborate closely with developers, cloud engineers, and product teams within an Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Adapt testing approaches as priorities shift across large lending portfolios
  • Identify quality gaps and proactively suggest improvements to testing processes and workflows
  • Contribute to improving automation readiness and cloud-native testing practices

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in manual testing in complex enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience writing and managing test cases
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Azure Pipelines experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience testing web-based applications and APIs
  • Comfortable working in Agile / ART environments
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to take initiative beyond defined tasks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

  • Test automation experience (any framework or tooling)
  • Exposure to cloud-native testing practices
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and/or PEGA applications
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration

Additional Notes
Financial services experience is not required
Environment includes a wide mix of modern and legacy technologies
Role requires someone who is proactive, curious, and comfortable operating in evolving scope
