IT Systems Support Specialist (Desktop/Field Support) – Long Term Project – Sacramento, CA
Title: IT Systems Support Specialist (Desktop/Field Support)
Location: Sacramento, CA – onsite (Rancho Cordova, CA)
Duration: Long Term Project 6-12 plus months
Compensation: $24-31.25/hr.

Our Government client in Sacramento is seeking an Information Technology Systems Support Specialist (Desktop/Field Services).
Seeking an individual to perform a wide range of advanced system support duties in a support desk/applications/desktop/field environment. Candidate would provide effective support for enterprise, client/server, desktop computer systems, network systems and business applications along with providing information technology support. Current projects include assisting with imaging, set up, and deployment for PC/Laptop, training customers on telework procedures and deploying VPN solutions, assisting with building closures and moves, as well as supporting an Active Directory migration for the Department.
Candidate should have the ability to:
- Operate, maintain, and perform repairs on information technology equipment and software.
- Perform complex duties related to troubleshooting, configuring, performing diagnostics and assignment specific desktop and network hardware and software issues and respond appropriately to customer service requests
- Operate, maintain, and perform repairs personal computers, laptops and peripherals
- Assist with imaging, set up, and deployment of PC/Laptops and support hardware moves throughout the Department.
- Provide 2nd level help desk support
- Lift equipment that weighs up to 50 pounds
- Have a valid California Driver's License, Class C
Candidate should have the knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows 11 Operating System and software updates
- Microsoft 365 products
- Imaging software and automated imaging processes using MECM/SCCM
- PC/Laptop deployments
- Teleworking and VPN solutions
- Principles and practices of customer service
- Principles and practices of troubleshooting computer system hardware and software problems.
Other:
- Must be able to pass a stringent criminal background check (livescan) before starting work.
- In office support schedule Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
