- The Project Manager / Scrum Lead will be an integral part of the Content Platforms Global Program Management (GPM) team. - This is a contractor position within the Tech Global Program Management Organization. The Project Manager / Scrum Lead will work with Product, Engineering, QA and partner teams to facilitate and support Agile ceremonies and coach scrum teams on Agile best practices and principles to enable the delivery of high value product increments to our users.
- Successful candidates must be highly proactive, detail-oriented, and able to autonomously work on concurrent implementations across matrixed teams both inside and outside the department. They must be capable of clearly communicating schedules, risks, issues, and processes to a variety of executive, business, creative, and technical audiences. They must be able to partner with other project managers and technical leads outside their area to coordinate work, deliverables, and schedules.
- The primary responsibility of this role will be the migration of the APAC (+India) and LATAM user groups from a legacy system to Rightsline, the centralized, global Rights Management solution. This system facilitates the efficient and effective exploitation of content across VOD media, formats, languages, and territories. It enables the capability to capture, manage, and communicate distribution rights for licensed content sales, in-home transactional sales, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) platforms. This project will occur in parallel with other rights ecosystem enhancement projects already in flight. Close collaboration with partner teams representing adjacent systems within the rights ecosphere will be critical.
Major initiative details included in this consolidation are:
1. Transactional, Accounting and Reporting enhancements will be made to Rightsline and other systems within the rights ecosphere.
2. Data migration from the legacy system to new systems.
3. Integrations – Provide continuity of any live system interactions
Responsibilities:
• Lead agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint plannings, backlog refinements, retrospectives, sprint reviews and demos.
• Provide support using a servant-leadership style, facilitate discussions and decision making in meetings, and resolve team impediments at multiple levels of an organization.
• Coach teams in their journey to Agile, support their self-organization and agile methodology knowledge growth.
• Use tools and techniques to support the team in shipping high-quality software increments such as User Stories, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing and Burndown or Burnup charts.
• Create and maintain Jira dashboards, project plans, and status decks, and present the same to the project team, stakeholders and executive leadership as required.
• Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on program progress and quality and know how to leverage those metrics to identify and action to program needs.
• Communicate team and project status and schedule updates via weekly status tool.
• Communicate delivery times and scope to other software engineering teams that depend on a timely delivery.
• Manage related projects that impact the scrum team, including developing project plans and timelines for projects and project deliverables.
• Identifies and manages issues and risks and drives decision making.
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in technical program management and software application development.
• Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Lead/Project Manager for cross-functional agile teams.
• Demonstrated experience as an agile practitioner with a track record of successfully coaching continuous improvement.
• Experience as a Technical Project Manager a plus.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence supporting agile methodologies.
• Experience with the software development life cycle.
• Desire to learn and take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.
