Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Compensation: $40.00 – 43.00/hr.
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY
This is a hands-on field testing role supporting satellite user experience and connectivity validation in real-world environments. The focus of this role is running guided tests and collecting data using easy-to-follow software tools from a mobile test van in and around Redmond, WA. You'll help the team understand how the system performs as testing moves outward from a central location toward the edge of satellite coverage.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
As a Field Test Technician, you'll spend your day running predefined tests from a mobile test vehicle at assigned locations. Once on site, you'll primarily remain in the test van, operating a graphical user interface to start tests and confirm data is being captured correctly.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Driving the test vehicle to scheduled locations within a defined radius
  • Setting up at each location and remaining on site during testing
  • Using a graphical, Python-scripted user interface to run tests
  • Performing manual test steps by following written instructions
  • Monitoring data flow to ensure results are captured successfully
  • Recording test results and noting any issues for the core team
  • Supporting additional testing activities as time allows

This role is execution focused. Hardware setup, troubleshooting, and RF verification are handled by the core engineering team—you'll be focused on running tests and collecting clean data.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Comfort following step-by-step instructions and test procedures
  • Basic computer skills and confidence navigating graphical user interfaces
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local test sites
  • Attention to detail and reliability when collecting and documenting data

NICE TO HAVES

  • Basic exposure to technical testing, lab work, or field operations
  • Ability to read or understand simple RF or signal measurements (training provided)
  • Familiarity with Python-based tools or scripted interfaces
  • Interest in satellite technology, networking, or systems testing
