Senior ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) Integration Consultant

Role Overview
We are seeking a senior level, hands on ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) contractor with proven experience integrating ServiceNow ITAM with SAP Ariba. This role will design, build, and support a robust, scalable integration enabling accurate asset lifecycle management, procurement automation, and financial alignment. This is a technical delivery role. Candidates must be capable of coding, configuring, and troubleshooting integrations—not providing advisory or oversight only services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement bi directional integrations between ServiceNow and SAP Ariba supporting:
  • Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
  • Software Asset Management (SAM)
• Configure and extend ServiceNow Procurement and ITAM modules, including:
  • Purchase Orders (PO)
  • Purchase Requisitions (PR)
  • Receiving Slips and Receiving Lines
• Implement and support ServiceNow Ariba Spoke integrations to:
  • Retrieve PO and PR data from Ariba
  • Synchronize PO/PR statuses (Requested, Ordered, Completed, Canceled, Rejected)
  • Send receiving confirmations from ServiceNow back to
• Ensure ServiceNow remains the system of record for assets and software entitlements, while Ariba remains the system of record for procurement
• Build and maintain:
  • Flow Designer flows
  • Script Includes
  • REST integrations
  • Error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, data mismatches, and reconciliation issues
• Support UAT, production deployments, and post-go-live stabilization
• Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to internal teams

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with:
  • IT Operations
  • ITSM
  • Procurement
  • Finance
  • Security Operations
• Translate business and procurement requirements into technical integration solutions
• Support decisions related to:
  • Software purchases originating in Ariba
  • PR/PO closure conditions
  • Rejected or canceled procurement scenarios
• Partner with Security Operations to ensure asset visibility supports:
  • Vulnerability management
  • CMDB accuracy
  • Risk and compliance use cases

Required Skills & Experience
ServiceNow

• 7+ years of hands on ServiceNow experience
• Strong experience with:
  • IT Asset Management Professional (HAM & SAM)
  • Procurement and PO lifecycle
  • IntegrationHub and Flow Designer
• Advanced server side JavaScript (ServiceNow)

SAP Ariba

• Hands on experience integrating with SAP Ariba APIs
• Strong understanding of:
  • Purchase Requisitions (PR)
  • Purchase Orders (PO), Contracts, Suppliers
  • Financial and asset data models within Ariba
  • Approval, rejection, and receiving workflows

Integration Skills

• REST / SOAP API integration experience
• Data mapping and transformation
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
• Understanding of procurement to asset lifecycle processes

Nice to Have

• Experience implementing ServiceNow Ariba Spoke in production environments
• Exposure to financial controls, audit requirements, or global procurement operations
• Experience supporting both hardware and software procurement integrations
