Our client, a nonprofit organization located downtown Chicago, is seeking a Compensation Analyst to support their team on contract basis (hybrid schedule, 3+ months duration with potential to extend).  
 
Requirements

  • Review and recommend compensation programs including base pay, bonus programs, long-term incentive structures, and partner-aligned compensation models.
  • Oversee equity-related administration, including tracking, reporting, compliance, and coordination with Finance and Legal.
  • Lead annual compensation cycles including salary benchmarking, job architecture, incentive planning, and compensation budgeting.
  • Oversee benefits design and administration ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and an excellent employee experience.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and HR leadership to ensure integrated, compliant, and data-driven rewards strategies.
  • Partner with business and Go-To-Market leaders to evaluate incentive frameworks that support performance and revenue growth.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory requirements to maintain competitive and compliant programs.
  • Conducts job analysis and job evaluations of all positions.
  • Recommends assignment to appropriate band/level and proper exemption status based on type of work, requirements and responsibilities.
  • Conducts and participates in salary and fringe benefits surveys. Investigates possible labor markets and makes recommendations for position market adjustments.
  • Supports HR leadership in the implementation of the annual salary increase programs, including those in collective bargaining agreements.
  • Participates in budgeting process for wage and salary projections. Calculates costs associated with new positions and base rate increases.
  • Maintains and edits documentation for compensation and procedures.
  • Identifies opportunities for the compensation function and implements process improvement.
