Location: 100% Remote (Must work CST hours – 8:00 AM start)
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract
Overview
We are seeking a Senior QA Tester to join their growing QA team supporting a mission-critical accounting platform. This role combines manual testing and automation development and will play a key role in expanding automated coverage across the platform's testing suite.
The position requires a self-driven QA professional who can analyze user stories, build manual test cases, validate execution, and then automate those test cases within the testing framework.
Team Environment

QA team of approximately 20 members

Distributed globally across the U.S., Canada, Brazil, and nearshore locations

Collaborative environment supporting an enterprise accounting application built on Delphi, along with web-based and API testing environments
Key Responsibilities

Review user stories and requirements to determine appropriate test coverage

Create and execute manual functional test cases

Validate and document test scenarios before automation

Reuse or modify existing test artifacts where applicable

Conduct dry runs of test cases to ensure accuracy and functionality

Develop and maintain automated test cases

Gradually increase automation coverage, beginning with approximately one automated test per day

Support the automation of 1,600+ existing accounting-related use cases

Perform API testing and database validation

Contribute to improving automation frameworks and QA processes
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in QA testing with both manual and automation testing

Strong experience with test automation frameworks

Experience with API testing

Experience with functional testing and functional test case creation

Experience with database testing

Ability to review user stories and translate them into effective test scenarios

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Tosca
-
Experience with Playwright or Selenium

Familiarity with Ranorex (Ranrx) or maintaining legacy automated test suites

Exposure to AI/automation MCP tools
-
Experience working in distributed or global QA teams
