Title: Senior Delphi Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term contract
Compensation: $60-80/hour
Work Requirements: US citizen, Green Card holder, or authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Develop well-designed, testable, and properly documented code based on defined project requirements.
  • Collaborate on requirements, timelines, and project activities; participate in team meetings while troubleshooting development and production issues across various environments and operating platforms.
  • Provide support to fellow engineers by offering guidance, mentoring, coaching, and learning opportunities.
  • Implement software modifications with careful consideration of their impact on the overall system.
  • Follow and maintain the coding standards established by the ERP software development team.
  • Utilize existing Delphi expertise while expanding knowledge of additional client-side development tools.
  • Track assigned software change requests and implement updates according to defined priorities.
  • Evaluate requirements for system changes and enhancements, analyze the requests, and convert them into appropriate programming solutions.
  • Perform system design, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation using the Delphi IDE and other relevant development tools.

Required Experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Software Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with Delphi and SQL Server (FireDAC experience is a plus).
  • Experience designing service architectures and solutions based on business requirements, preparing estimates, and delivering projects within established timelines.
  • Experience supporting and mentoring engineers through guidance, cross-training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including the capability to participate in technical discussions with peers and serve as a trusted technical advisor, while ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Proven experience writing reusable, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Experience designing and implementing low-latency, highly available, and high-performance applications and services.
  • Ability to coordinate requirements, schedules, and project activities, contribute in team meetings, and resolve development and production issues across multiple environments and operating systems.
  • Experience implementing unit tests (DUnitX experience is a plus).
