Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Redmond, Washington
Duration: 12 months + possible extensions
Compensation: 53-73hr

Skillset / Experience:
At a research and development organization focused on next-generation immersive technologies, the goal is to explore, innovate, and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for advanced virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. The team is seeking a candidate with a broad technical background including embedded design, analog and mixed-signal design, and camera systems.
The systems involved may include ASICs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs ranging from simple to complex designs, as well as displays, audio components, inertial sensors, haptic interfaces, image sensors, and high-speed I/O. The ideal candidate will be comfortable designing mixed high-speed digital circuit boards, troubleshooting at both the board and system level, and working with display driver ICs.
Job Responsibilities

Develop schematics, guide board layout, assemble, test, debug, and integrate multi-component electrical systems using industry-standard simulation and design tools such as Cadence, Altium, MATLAB, and SPICE

Bring up and debug opto-electrical systems that may include image sensors, display driver ICs, lasers, depth sensors, switching power supplies, or low/high-speed digital communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, and USB SS

Adapt quickly and respond to changing project priorities

Simulate and test machine, structure, or system operation
Education / Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required

5+ years of industry experience in hardware design or electrical engineering roles

Experience using schematic and board layout tools and bench test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and function generators
