Jr. Accountant
Waller, Texas (100% Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Base Salary: $50,000 – $65,000

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Accountant with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable. This role will support daily accounting operations, including invoicing, cash applications, reconciliations, and month-end close, while working closely with sales, shipping, and production teams.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $50K – $65K

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, cash applications, AR aging, and collections

• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, short pays, and customer inquiries

• Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end close

• Perform account reconciliations including cash, AR, and other balance sheet accounts

• Assist with bank reconciliations and daily cash activity tracking

• Support Accounts Payable as needed, including invoice review and vendor reconciliations

• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

• Partner with Sales, Shipping, and Production teams to ensure accurate billing and order verification

• Assist with inventory tracking and cost verification related to materials and production

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 2–4+ years of accounting experience with strong AR exposure

• Experience with invoicing, cash applications, collections, and reconciliations

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes

• Strong Excel skills (required)

• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

• Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required with relevant experience

Preferred Experience

• Experience in inventory-based, logistics, or operational environments

• Familiarity with sales orders, delivery tickets, or shipping documentation

• Exposure to agricultural, manufacturing, or similar industries is a plus

• Experience with ERP or custom accounting systems
