Title: Gameplay Software Engineer III
Location: US – Remote (no time zone preference)
Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)
Compensation: $40-52/hour 
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Skillset / Experience:

Gameplay Software Engineer III

• 5–7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on mobile or casual game development
• Proven experience building and launching multiple mobile games (App Store or similar platforms)
• Strong hands-on experience with game development frameworks and rapid prototyping tools
• Experience developing new games from concept through playable prototype
• Ability to rapidly iterate on game concepts to validate engagement and user experience
• Experience taking prototypes through polish and production readiness
• Strong understanding of social/casual game design patterns, including:
  • Daily gameplay loops
  • Progression systems
  • Social mechanics (leaderboards, challenges, sharing features)
• Experience implementing social features that drive engagement and retention
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams for validation and integration
• Strong coding standards, documentation practices, and attention to quality
• Creative portfolio showcasing game development work
• Experience working in fast-paced, iterative development environments
• AI-native mindset or experience leveraging AI tools in development workflows

Nice-to-have:

• Cross-functional (XFN) collaboration experience
• Ability to work across multiple roles and disciplines
