Position Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Endpoint Packaging & Deployment Engineer to support enterprise-level application packaging, deployment, and endpoint management initiatives. This role will focus on creating, deploying, and troubleshooting software packages across a Windows environment while leveraging tools like SCCM and Tanium.
  • The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and thrives in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain application packages using InstallShield and Visual Studio
  • Create and manage MSI packages, including custom actions and transforms (MSTs)
  • Develop and maintain advanced scripts using PowerShell, Batch, and WMI
  • Manage SCCM task sequences, application deployments, and troubleshooting efforts
  • Utilize Tanium for endpoint querying, analysis, and remediation
  • Troubleshoot complex deployment issues using logs and deep-dive analysis techniques
  • Create, read, and troubleshoot JSON files for deployment configurations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, SOPs, and testing documentation
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business and technical needs

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with InstallShield and Visual Studio
  • Strong experience with MSI creation, including custom actions and transforms
  • Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Batch, WMI)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Server environments)
  • Proven experience with SCCM (task sequences, packaging, deployments, troubleshooting)
  • Experience with Tanium queries and endpoint analysis
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot log files and perform root cause analysis
  • Experience working with JSON files
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong documentation and process creation experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with VMware Workspace ONE (WS1) (packaging, deployment, troubleshooting)
  • Exposure to VMware vSphere and/or Citrix VDI environments
  • Experience with ServiceNow and/or Jira
  • Knowledge of SQL and WQL queries
  • Experience with process automation tools (SCCM Orchestrator, SCORCH, PMG, etc.)
  • Strong background in Windows enterprise environments, including:
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • Enterprise endpoint management
