About this Featured Opportunity:

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong foundation in data analytics and report building who is equally motivated by the opportunity to leverage in-house AI services and AI-driven strategies to accelerate how we extract value from a growing data lake. This role combines hands-on data preparation, visualization, and stakeholder reporting with the applied use of AI-based approaches to scale and enhance analytical capabilities.

This is a fast-moving environment where priorities, project scope, and business context can shift rapidly. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, adapts quickly, and maintains analytical rigor even when direction changes mid-stream.

The Opportunity for you:

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to understand data needs and is confident enough to provide feedback and recommendations. They should be naturally curious, eager to explore complex or incomplete data, and capable of uncovering meaningful insights. A degree in data analytics or data science is preferred, especially if it included hands-on work such as data experiments, modeling, or exploratory analysis (ideally Python – Pandas).

The individual will be expected to perform core data analyst functions, including:

Core Analytics & Reporting:

• Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple data sources.
• Ensure high data quality and consistency across databases.
• Transform and structure data to align with business goals and analytical needs.
• Develop compelling data visualizations and maintain interactive dashboards (e.g., Tableau, ThoughtSpot).
• Deliver accurate, timely reports and insights to stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Develop a deep understanding of the upstream programs and systems from which data is sourced, and using that knowledge to proactively identify data integrity issues, quality gaps, and anomalies that automated checks alone would not catch.

AI-Enabled Analytics & Strategy:

• Identify opportunities to integrate in-house AI services into existing analytics workflows — improving speed, accuracy, or depth of insight delivery.
• Apply AI-based techniques (e.g., classification, summarization, anomaly detection) to augment traditional reporting and surface patterns at scale across the data lake.
• Evaluate and compare AI-driven analytical approaches against traditional methods, recommending adoption where business value is clear.
• Collaborate with data engineering and AI platform teams to ensure analytical outputs remain aligned as the data lake evolves.
• Stay current with emerging internal AI tools and services, advocating for their practical adoption within the team’s reporting and analytics practice.

Key Success Factors:

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, or a similar role with strong skills in handling large and dynamic datasets across structured and semi-structured sources.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable narrative for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong contextual understanding of source data systems: must have the ability to go beyond surface-level analysis and understand how data is generated, collected, and transformed across upstream programs, enabling early detection of quality and integrity issues.
• Strong experience with Excel for data organization, data analysis, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB) and Python programming languages for data analysis and automation.
  • Python will be used for both data preparation (e.g., pandas, numpy) and analytics (e.g., statistical analysis, visualization, feature engineering).
  • Hands-on experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools ( Tableau preferred)
  • Experience developing dashboards and visualizations in Tableau for end-user consumption.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (Dataiku preferred)
• Demonstrated interest or hands-on experience applying AI/ML services to business analytics workflows.
  • Experience or interest using AI APIs for data classification, text summarization, predictive scoring, or automated insight generation.

Nice to Haves:

• Degree in Data Analytics or Data Science is preferred.
• Background in Media & Entertainment, with a strong preference for experience in the music industry (familiarity with music-specific data models, rights and royalty structures, streaming metrics, or content lifecycle workflows).
• Experience working with or consuming outputs from LLM-based tools, AI platforms, or internal AI services in a business context.
• Familiarity with how growing data lakes are structured and governed, including awareness of schema evolution and data pipeline dependencies.
• Experience building automated or self-service reporting solutions that reduce manual analytical burden.
• Background in evaluating new tools or techniques and building a case for adoption with stakeholders.
