Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000

Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Data Compliance & Infrastructure Manager to lead and mature our organization's compliance posture, technology roadmap, and managed service provider (MSP) strategy.
This is a high-impact, newly created role responsible for establishing structure, ensuring regulatory compliance, and acting as the internal expert across IT infrastructure and vendor management.
The ideal candidate will bring strong data compliance experience combined with enough infrastructure knowledge to guide decisions, challenge vendors, and build a scalable IT roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Data Compliance & Risk Management
- Lead and manage all IT/data compliance initiatives across the organization
- Own and respond to client security and compliance questionnaires (e.g., insurance, financial services)
- Ensure alignment with frameworks such as NIST, GDPR, and other relevant standards
- Identify compliance gaps and develop actionable remediation roadmaps
- Establish policies, controls, and documentation to meet evolving regulatory requirements
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance readiness
Infrastructure Oversight & Strategy
- Maintain visibility into all IT infrastructure including cloud, on-prem servers, networking, and end-user devices
- Evaluate current architecture and recommend improvements aligned to business goals
- Develop and execute a long-term IT roadmap (hardware, software, security, and scalability)
- Provide guidance on cloud vs on-prem decisions and emerging technologies
- Act as a technical advisor to leadership on IT investments and priorities
MSP & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all MSP relationships
- Evaluate MSP performance and determine if current providers meet business needs
- Hold vendors accountable for SLAs, deliverables, and response times
- Identify and eliminate unnecessary tools, services, or vendor upsells
- Recommend and implement the right vendor strategy (consolidation, replacement, or hybrid)
Operational Support & Internal Leadership
- Act as the internal escalation point for critical IT issues
- Provide guidance on device management, security controls, and access management
- Standardize processes across hardware, software, and employee IT environments
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business, analytics, and operations teams
- Support M&A efforts by helping integrate IT environments across multiple entities
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, or security roles
- 3+ years of experience in data compliance, risk, or security frameworks
- Strong understanding of:
- Compliance frameworks (NIST, GDPR, ISO, SOC2, etc.)
- Cloud environments (Azure, M365, Entra, etc.)
- Networking fundamentals (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Experience working with or managing MSPs or external IT vendors
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business decisions
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or regulated environments
- Prior experience in a small-to-mid-sized company wearing multiple hats
- Background as a Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, or IT Manager
- Experience building compliance programs from scratch
- Exposure to M&A or multi-entity IT integration
