ABOUT THIS FEATURED OPPORTUNITY

Join a high-impact engineering team where your work directly shapes the design and integrity of cutting-edge test infrastructure. In this role, you'll be embedded in a collaborative, technically rigorous environment where fixture design, hardware development, and cross-functional problem-solving are at the heart of every project.

This is an opportunity to own meaningful work end-to-end — from concept and CAD modeling through vendor coordination, assembly, and validation — while collaborating closely with a team of engineers who value both technical excellence and open design dialogue. If you're someone who thrives on solving real hardware challenges and seeing your designs come to life, this role was built for you.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

As a Mechanical Engineer on this team, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain test fixtures, jigs, and electronics enclosures based on current and evolving test requirements.
  • Develop detailed CAD models in NX for fixtures, sub-assemblies, and test rack assemblies.
  • Create precise engineering drawings for fixtures, sub-assemblies, and test rack assemblies.
  • Support the release of drawings and documentation packages in Teamcenter, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout.
  • Interface directly with vendors — managing procurement, overseeing assembly, and driving validation of new test fixtures.
  • Conduct internal design reviews with the team and actively participate in broader design review processes across the organization.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Must Haves

  • Proven experience designing test fixtures, jigs, or mechanical enclosures in a hardware engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in NX (Siemens) for 3D CAD modeling and generating engineering drawings.
  • Experience with Teamcenter or a comparable PLM system for drawing release and documentation management.
  • Strong ability to manage vendor relationships and see hardware from procurement through validation.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with electronics enclosure design and working alongside electrical engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with test rack assembly design and integration.
  • Background in participating in or leading formal design reviews.
  • Exposure to GD&T standards and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles.
