NetApp Certified Support Engineer ONTAP Specialist (NCSE-OS)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled NetApp Certified Support Engineer – ONTAP Specialist (NCSE-OS) to support enterprise storage infrastructure environments in a fully remote contract role. This individual will provide advanced support, troubleshooting, administration, and optimization of NetApp ONTAP storage systems across production environments.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in NetApp storage technologies, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure in enterprise environments.

Required Certification

• Active NCSE-OS (NetApp Certified Support Engineer – ONTAP Specialist) certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced administration and operational support for NetApp ONTAP environments
• Troubleshoot complex storage, performance, replication, and connectivity issues
• Support upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management activities
• Monitor storage infrastructure health, availability, and capacity planning
• Configure and support SnapMirror, SnapVault, clustering, and storage replication technologies
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and application teams
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
• Provide support during maintenance windows and occasional off-hours activities as needed

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on NetApp storage engineering/support experience
• Strong experience supporting NetApp ONTAP environments in enterprise settings
• Expertise with storage protocols including NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel
• Experience with clustered ONTAP administration and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of VMware, Linux, and Windows server environments
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional NetApp certifications preferred
• Experience with cloud-integrated storage solutions
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise storage environments
