QA Test Engineer Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Test Engineer Lead to drive hands-on testing and quality assurance across complex enterprise systems. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on execution, test design, and ensuring high-quality releases for critical business platforms. The role is also responsible for the overall planning, architecting and preparation required for testing highly complex enterprise-wide technology solutions consisting of multiple work streams and/or projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hands-on testing, scripting, and test documentation. The candidate must have strong leadership skills, technical expertise in QA methodologies, and experience managing cross-functional teams and delivery timelines. You will lead testing efforts across the full lifecycle—from system integration through end-to-end business validation—ensuring complex workflows and system behaviors are thoroughly tested and release-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test scenarios across complex, multi-system workflows
- Perform hands-on testing across SIT, BFT, regression, and release cycles
- Validate business-critical transactions and system behaviors
- Develop and execute automated tests using Tricentis Tosca
- Leverage qTest for test management, traceability, and reporting
- Align testing activities with Azure DevOps pipelines and delivery workflows
- Plan and align testing activities across system and integrated testing cycles to support release management objectives
- Coordinate test support activities, ensuring effective use of testing tools and environments to enable successful execution
- Provide oversight of test planning and execution across manual, automation, performance, and test data activities, ensuring results meet specifications and business expectations
- Track test execution progress and manage defects through resolution
- Lead defect triage sessions and validation discussions
- Identify risks early and ensure high-quality, production-ready releases
- Lead test walkthroughs, working sessions, and readiness discussions
- Support and enable non-technical (business) testers during testing cycles
- Facilitate communication of testing risks, issues, and dependencies across teams
- Partner with QA, development, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing scope and priorities
Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Test Planning, Test Execution, BU IT Domain leads, Technical Owners, Project Managers, Business Stakeholders, Technical Operations and Business Analysts to ensure that Test tool(s), aligned with execution and delivery schedules.
- Provide governance to IT and the Business in use and adaptation of Test Tools and QA/Continuous Testing (CT) methodologies.
- Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with IT and our business partners.
- Provide input to develop Test automation/performance Strategy and Plan for System and Release Test to align with Portfolio and Demand Management.
- Facilitates complex group meetings and conducts information gathering sessions.
- Coordinate QA Support services with Business IT Leads to identify and improve testing tools and approaches.
- Serve as primary liaison between QA and project delivery teams to ensure seamless coordination of testing activities.
- Facilitate communication of project risks, issues, and dependencies related to QA deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in QA/Test Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with manual testing and test design
- Experience with Tricentis Tosca and automation best practices
- Familiarity with qTest and Azure DevOps
- Experience across SIT, Integration, regression, and UAT cycles
- Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate into effective test coverage
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial systems (leasing, retail, accounting platforms)
- Familiarity with API testing and SQL/data validation
- Experience in large-scale, integrated enterprise environments
