What started years ago as a small initiative with just six participants celebrating milestones and exchanging ideas has evolved into one of the most meaningful and inspiring experiences within our global organization. 

Today, Movers & Shakers is much more than an event. 

It is a space where innovation, leadership, technical excellence, creativity, and culture intersect. 

Every semester, outstanding team members from around the world gather in Medellín, Colombia, for an experience designed not only to recognize talent, but also to strengthen connections, encourage collaboration, and inspire new ways of thinking. 

And every event brings a different story to life. 

A Different Theme, A Different Perspective

Each Movers & Shakers event is built around a unique theme that reflects the values, mindset, and conversations shaping our teams and industry. 

Over the years, Movers & Shakers has explored a wide variety of themes designed to inspire creativity, strengthen our culture, and encourage new ways of thinking. From magical realism and Crafting Tomorrows to gatherings inspired by rock, critical thinking, and teamwork, each experience brings a unique perspective that connects innovation, collaboration, and personal growth. 

These themes are more than aesthetics — they create immersive experiences that encourage participants to think differently, connect more deeply, and step outside their day-to-day routines. 

Recognizing Talent Beyond Technical Skills

Participation in Movers & Shakers is not random. 

Attendees are selected through a nomination and application process where team members can either apply directly or be nominated by colleagues and leaders who recognize their impact. 

Selection goes beyond technical expertise. 

At INSPYR Global Solutions (IGS), we value professionals who demonstrate leadership, collaboration, innovation, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to team success. Movers & Shakers brings together individuals who not only excel technically, but who also positively influence the people around them. 

Today, the event welcomes more than 50 participants from different countries, teams, roles, and disciplines — creating an environment where multicultural perspectives and diverse experiences become one of the event’s greatest strengths. 

Innovation in Action: The Movers & Shakers Hackathon

In recent years, Movers & Shakers has expanded even further by incorporating a hackathon experience designed to challenge participants in real time. 

During the event, teams receive a technical challenge that encourages them to collaborate across areas, combine different skill sets, and develop innovative solutions under pressure. 

In the most recent Movers & Shakers experience, the challenge was built around an Artificial Intelligence framework developed internally by our own teams at INSPYR Global Solutions (IGS). 

The result was extraordinary. 

Participants created functional and highly creative solutions in record time, demonstrating not only technical expertise, but also agility, teamwork, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. 

More importantly, the hackathon became a space where professionals from different teams and backgrounds could connect, exchange ideas, and learn from one another in ways that rarely happen during everyday work. 

It reminded us that innovation grows faster when people are given the opportunity to collaborate openly and think beyond traditional boundaries.
