Title: Controller (Operations-Focused Accounting Leader)
Location: Plano, TX  | Onsite – 5 Days per Week

Responsibilities

• Direct operations, including general ledger management, cash and bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, payroll accounting, credit card activity, intercompany transactions, and tax-related accounting, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP.
• Manage IOLTA accounts, including monthly reporting.
• Lead high-volume payment processing and client remittance activity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and standardization across both accounting and operational accounting, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and client policies.
• Work with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits and tax compliance activities, supporting accurate reporting and timely federal and state tax payments.
• Support accounting, treasury, and financial process integration efforts related to mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, and analysis
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial compliance standards
• Exposure to M&A integrations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Compensation & Growth

• Base Salary: $125,000 – $160,000
• Annual Bonus + MIP Eligibility
• Total Compensation Potential: ~$155,000 – $200,000
