Position Overview
A large, established financial services organization is seeking a skilled Content Writer to support its Internal Communications team during a temporary leave of absence. This role focuses on employee-facing communications, including daily intranet content, newsletters, and internal announcements across multiple business units.
This is a fast-paced, execution-focused role for a writer who is comfortable working within established templates, driving content through approvals, and meeting daily publishing deadlines. The writing style is clear, professional, and approachable, with no technical documentation requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Write, edit, and maintain internal communications for company intranet pages and internal publications

Publish daily employee-facing communications and enterprise-wide updates

Coordinate internal articles by verifying facts, confirming artwork, and securing approvals

Ensure all communications comply with internal brand, style, and messaging guidelines

Review and monitor internal web pages for accuracy, consistency, and appropriate asset usage

Update department and enterprise intranet pages based on organizational changes and events

Create a daily executive newsletter featuring relevant industry, government, and economic news

Support internal communications for charitable or community initiatives

Monitor company-related media coverage and escalate inquiries as needed

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, refine, and publish content

Assist with additional communications projects as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications

1+ year of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or content writing

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with working knowledge of AP Style

Proven ability to work under tight, recurring deadlines

Comfortable editing and publishing content using existing templates
-
Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field
OR equivalent professional experience
