Title: Technical Support Technician
Location: Sterling, VA
Duration: 6 months, possible extensions/conversion
Compensation: $22-22/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:
We are seeking a motivated Technical Support Tech to provide day-to-day technical assistance to end users. This role is responsible for identifying, researching, and resolving a variety of technical issues while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will follow established procedures, document issues accurately, and work under close supervision to ensure timely problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end users via telephone, email, and in-person requests
- Identify, research, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and system issues
- Document, track, and monitor reported problems to ensure timely resolution
- Escalate unresolved issues according to established guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and solutions
- Follow pre-established instructions, procedures, and best practices
- Communicate clearly and professionally with users and team members
Qualifications
- 0–3 years of experience in technical support or a related role
- Basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within IT support
- Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under immediate supervision
- Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Nice to have but not required
- Ticketing knowledge/experience
- Certification(s)
- Data center experience
Skills & Competencies
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with common operating systems, applications, and hardware
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
- Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
