Description:
- The Partner Content Experiences team is responsible for delivering content metadata to our business partners. That metadata powers out-of-app experiences like universal search, continue watching, and discovery on streaming devices in the homes of millions of users globally. You'll work closely with engineers, technical account managers, business teams, product peers, and external partners so that consumers can discover and engage with the magic of streaming's unparalleled content catalog.
- The ideal candidate is highly analytical, resourceful, and able to both build consensus and operate independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. This person has worked with content pipelines and delivered platform capabilities in a high-throughput environment, balanced competing priorities, and advocated for internal stakeholders with the same level of importance as the end user and external partners. We value passionate product leadership that drives with a collaborative spirit, discipline, and attention to detail.
Basic Qualification:
- Create product requirement documents to deliver Streaming's VOD and Live content catalogs for partner expansion
- Operationalize partner feeds and integrations through tooling development
- Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize work and gather requirements based on partner and business inputs. This includes identifying trade-offs, communicating with various teams, and driving consensus.
- Enable the syndication of robust supply chain data to support global expansion and new languages for metadata (descriptive, regional, images) and media (audio, video, subtitles).
- Drive alignment on scope across all stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of product development
- Generate actionable stories for engineering teams to execute on data syndication and net-new capabilities
- Improve product delivery throughput via product discovery and efficient processes
- Help develop the strategy and roadmap of our long-term content syndication platform and capabilities
- Coordinate with required stakeholders for issue resolution and other communications
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with 3 or more years of experience in a product management role
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required
- Experience working effectively with engineering, contributing to discussions around technology decisions and defined technical requirements
- User-first mentality and strong opinions about good customer experience – bearing in mind that our primary customers are third party partners
- Demonstrated success executing product efforts aligned with business requirements and technology capabilities in global businesses
- Possess a collaborative approach and have a history of establishing and maintaining successful cross-functional relationships
- Working knowledge of the Product Development Lifecycle and Agile development methodologies
- Strong and clear written and verbal communication style
- You are a resourceful, self-starter with a bias toward action. You have a sense of ownership and feel comfortable digging into details to better understand challenges with the ability to drive issues to closure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess a deep awareness and understanding of VOD and Live content pipelines, rights management, and metadata implementations, specifically pertaining to OTT platforms
- Working knowledge of device manufacturers and/or service operators to deliver consumer devices or products (Global & B2B2C)
- Experience working in a partner operations role within video streaming or related industries
