Location: Seattle, WA or Sunnyvale, CA 

Duration: 6 months + possible extensions 

Compensation: 25-45hr

Project Manager

Inspyr Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to support prototype manufacturing efforts across two core functions: Vendor Management & Project Outsourcing and Work Management & Fulfillment. This role is responsible for coordinating prototype projects, managing external vendors, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring on-time, quality delivery to customers.

The Project Manager executes established procedures to manage outsourced manufacturing partnerships, coordinate project workflows, and support customer fulfillment. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, and a clear understanding of prototype manufacturing timelines involving CNC machining and 3D printing.

Vendor Management & Project Outsourcing

Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders and track order status for outsourced prototype work and materials

  • Receive, inspect, and verify vendor deliveries against technical specifications and quality standards

  • Use basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to confirm dimensions and tolerances

  • Maintain vendor tracking systems and databases with delivery status and quality data

  • Coordinate shipping logistics, including material delivery to vendors and return of completed prototypes

  • Maintain vendor documentation, contracts, and quality records

  • Communicate technical specifications and requirements to external vendors

  • Assist with vendor performance tracking and data collection

  • Identify, document, and report quality issues or delivery risks

Required Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing operations, prototype shops, supply chain coordination, or technical vendor management

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, basic GD&T callouts, and manufacturing specifications

  • Experience using basic measurement tools for quality inspection

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with order management systems, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work in a shop-floor environment and lift packages up to 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in CNC machining, prototype manufacturing, or job shop environments

  • Knowledge of machining processes such as milling, turning, and grinding

  • Experience with 3D printing technologies and post-processing techniques

  • Familiarity with ERP or job-tracking systems used in custom manufacturing

  • Understanding of shipping and packaging requirements for precision parts

  • Experience coordinating with technical vendors or supporting procurement activities

  • Experience working in rapid prototyping environments with changing priorities

Location: On-site only in Sunnyvale or Seattle.
