Description: Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location:

10301 Willows Road N.E., Redmond

Duties:
•Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to design, manufacture, and assemble prototypes of soft wearable electronic devices
•Apply sound engineering and design principles for manufacturing of injection molded components, soft electronic components, and novel sensor integrations in wearable electronics
•Communicate with vendors on DFM and Manufacturing of designs for prototype builds
•Collaborate with researchers and engineers to rapidly prototype hardware solutions, iterate, and run experiments.

Skills:

Must Haves:
•BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
•4+ years of experience in designing hardware prototypes, preferably in wearable consumer electronics, or a similar field
•Knowledge of the design process from concept to manufacturing
•Average or higher experience with CAD modeling [Siemens NX]
•Physical prototyping experience
•Experience with FPC/PCB design
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
•. 3D printing.

Nice to Haves:
•Knowledge of sensors
•Experience developing wearable consumer electronics
•Experience designing with softgoods or textiles
•Hands-on prototyping with molding and casting of elastomers or industrial processes such as Liquid Injection Molding
•Experience collaborating and communicating effectively on multi-disciplinary teams
•Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
