Title: SAP MM/PP Configurator
Location: Charlotte, NC, Lexington, SC, Sparks, MD (on site)
Duration: Direct hire
Compensation: $90-130K
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Provide support, planning, and configuration for the Materials Management and Production Planning functional areas within the SAP business system, including data migration and maintenance utilizing LSMW.
- Define and plan initiatives related to the SAP business system while identifying opportunities to enhance the use of technology within specific business areas.
- Maintain a strong understanding and functional expertise of Materials Management and Production Planning business requirements, including the integration across all SAP business system modules.
- Support corporate-sponsored initiatives associated with specific projects and/or business units.
- Coordinate new developments and system enhancements, including those that require ABAP programming and SAP Script.
- Provide application support for bolt-on software solutions such as interfaced WMS systems, GIB, Kinaxis, and other integrated interfaces.
- Coordinate the creation, updating, and ongoing maintenance of documentation and training materials.
- Perform analysis, development, testing, and implementation of interface systems and data conversion processes.
- Coordinate the development of supplemental training materials and facilitate classroom training delivery.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in technology or business is strongly preferred; relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting SAP R/3 applications, specifically SAP R/3 MMPP and related modules within a discrete manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of SAP application design, development, and implementation, along with the skills required to coordinate these activities effectively.
- Experience supporting information systems in an SAP environment, with a proven track record of successfully planning, developing, and implementing projects within schedule and budget constraints.
- Experience and familiarity with third-party bolt-on systems and SAP interfaces, ideally including Manhattan SCALE, Kinaxis RapidResponse, and GIB Production Planning.
- Understanding of business processes related to manufacturing and procurement operations.
- Exposure to modern tools and technologies used in manufacturing environments is considered a plus.
- Ability and preference to work in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated capability to support a global organization.
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Approximately 10% travel is required.
