Role: Full Stack Engineer
Pay: $90–$98/hour
Duration: 7-month contract (possibility for extension)
Location: Glendale, CA
Schedule: Onsite 4 days per week

Overview
A Studio Technology team is seeking a forward-thinking Software Engineer who is passionate about delivering reliable and scalable products. This team works closely with business partners to solve both strategic and tactical challenges while building and optimizing Business-to-Business systems that create a seamless user experience.
The team prides itself on staying current with the latest technologies, frameworks, and modern approaches to software architecture. This role also includes an AI-driven development component, leveraging tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to improve development workflows and automation.

Core Technology Stack

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience building services with Express.js and REST API design
• Experience with TypeORM and PostgreSQL (or similar ORM and relational database)
• Experience working with asynchronous or message-driven architectures (AWS SQS or similar)
• Experience working with native addon modules in Node.js (node-gyp, cmake-js)
• Familiarity with React fundamentals including component construction, props, and state management
• Strong experience leveraging modern AI development tools, specifically Claude Code and Cursor

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in Media Manufacturing technologies, such as:
  • Digital Cinema Package (DCP)
  • Interoperable Master Format (IMF)
  • MXF or other SMPTE standards
• Experience working in large TypeScript monorepos (npm workspaces, Turborepo, or similar)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress
• Experience designing software systems and documenting architecture
• Experience with an additional programming language such as Java, Kotlin, or C++
• Experience working with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, Redis, or Kafka

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
