Title: Data Analyst III
Location: Houston, TX (on site)
Duration: 12 month contract
Compensation: $65-75/hour

Description

• Conduct high-level and complex data analysis to support project accounting functions and the processing of invoice payments.
• Strong to advanced analytical capabilities are required, including expertise in Excel (advanced functions) and Power BI or comparable analytics tools.

Job Responsibilities

• Take ownership of and/or supervise the execution of the following responsibilities:
• Develop and manage structured databases or workbooks to review large volumes of reimbursable invoice data from multiple sources, ensuring accurate contractor payments.
• Gather, consolidate, and structure data from various platforms into formats compatible with Power BI or similar analytical applications.
• Maintain and optimize Power BI (or equivalent tools) to ensure consistent data formatting, enabling efficient integration, analysis, and reporting of additional datasets.
• Prepare recurring management reports and visual dashboards derived from established databases.
• Serve as the company representative when interacting with contractors, JV/CoV partners, and both internal and external auditors.
• Provide analytical support to the Project Controller on additional data-related assignments as required.
• Design and implement procedures to ensure adherence to contract terms, including oversight of invoice validation processes for EPC and other project contracts, while identifying and reporting payment or contractual variances.
• Analyze key project and business cost drivers, and create reference tables and analytical models to improve cost visibility, facilitate benchmarking against contract rates, and evaluate contractor pricing proposals.
