Sr Data and Reporting Analyst

Our client is looking for an experienced Report/Documentation Analyst to join our team to oversee the end-to-end requirement gathering and report delivery processes. The analyst will build and maintain positive customer relationships that foster open communication, reliability, trust, and collaboration. This role involves varied and complex assignments requiring initiative, sound judgment, and critical thinking.

Primary Functions of the Report/Documentation Analyst:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including report specifications, user access requirements, and report mockups.
  • Act as a liaison between the Data Solutions team and business stakeholders to support the development, enhancement, implementation, and support of reports.
  • Evaluate evolving reporting needs and business requirements, recommending improvements or alternative solutions.
  • Serve as the link between business partners, Data Solutions, Data Management, and technical teams for requirements, research, testing, and ongoing support.
  • Review and understand data mappings (source to target) as needed.
  • Follow established team methodologies, processes, standards, and documentation practices.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to coordinate data validation and testing activities.
  • Work independently and make informed decisions with limited oversight.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Delivery of projects with consistent scope expectations including:
    • Ownership of the requirement gathering process
    • Management throughout the lifecycle of the delivery process
    • Consistent generation and delivery of acceptance criteria for business requirements
    • Ensure a successful transition to the Support.
    • Produce deliverables in alignment with JM documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to analyze business needs and develop solutions.
  • Gather, organize, analyze, and help prioritize business and functional requirements.
  • Learn relevant processes and tools needed for the role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience in business systems analysis, preferably supporting data or reporting solutions.
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools, preferably Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies managed through Azure DevOps. Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies or meetings is a strong advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
  • Strong customer focus with proven relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, highly organized, and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and respond positively to changing business needs.
  • Professional composure in fast-paced or evolving environments.
