HCSS Support Specialist

The position is responsible for managing and optimizing the use of HCSS software solutions including HeavyBid, HeavyJob, Dispatcher and several non-HCSS applications including, but limited to StonemontQC and CAM360. This is a crucial role in streamlining project management processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring seamless communication between various teams and stakeholders.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Implement, configure, and maintain HCSS software applications including HeavyBid, HeavyJob, and Dispatcher
  • Implement, configure, and maintain non-HCSS applications including, but limited to CAM360 and StonemontQC.
  • Train users on the functionalities and best practices of HCSS tools to ensure effective utilization across the organization.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field personnel to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions using HCSS tools.
  • Customize reports and dashboards to monitor project progress, resource allocation, and financial performance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with HCSS support as needed to resolve software-related problems.
  • Stay updated with the latest releases and updates of HCSS products and recommend upgrades or enhancements based on business needs.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.
  • Support the integration of HCSS software with other systems and tools used within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation to enable consistent standards and operating procedures.
  • Assist with the migration of existing HCSS systems to the cloud and hybrid cloud computing environments.
  • Comply with IT standards and policies to meet regulatory requirements and company goals.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with HCSS software solutions such as HeavyBid, HeavyJob, and Dispatcher
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with non-HCSS applications such as StonemontQC and CAM360
  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • Certifications in HCSS products are a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to properly manage and prioritize resources and projects
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information and convey technical concepts and ideas to non-technical personnel
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to work in high production environment, with minimal supervision, and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
  • Sound decision making ability with the experience to balance consensus against authority as appropriate
  • Team player who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges
