Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Possible Extensions to 30 months)
Compensation: $80.00–$90.00/hr + Per diem if applicable

Skillset / Experience:
The M&E QA/QC Support Engineer will support mission-critical construction programs by developing, monitoring, and improving quality assurance and quality control processes across mechanical, electrical, and controls scopes. This role will partner closely with design, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the lifecycle of complex infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities include driving QA/QC program execution, reviewing commissioning documentation, coordinating cross-functional quality initiatives, and ensuring adherence to project specifications, procedures, and performance metrics.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performance and identify trends requiring corrective action.
Analyze QA/QC metrics and partner with project stakeholders to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective or preventive actions.
Support development and maturation of onsite partner QA/QC construction teams while helping establish quality standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Serve as the interface between design teams, construction teams, facility operations, and general contractors to coordinate quality initiatives and resolve issues.
Audit QA/QC activities of staff, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to project quality standards and procedures.
Review design documentation and submittals (particularly mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages) to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
Review and approve commissioning deliverables including Level 1–5 construction quality procedures, test plans, and commissioning scripts.
Assist with review of energization, startup, and commissioning schedules to ensure alignment with QA/QC program expectations.
Support factory witness testing (FWT) for both owner-furnished contractor-installed (OFCI) and contractor-furnished contractor-installed (CFCI) equipment.
Conduct onsite inspections and construction quality observations for installed equipment and systems, documenting findings in BIM360.
Review turnover documentation packages and commissioning artifacts to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to project handoff.
Drive closure of quality issues tracked in BIM360 and escalate unresolved items that may impact project delivery.
Support development of QA/QC dashboards, equipment tracking matrices, and periodic quality reporting presentations.
Participate in construction meetings including project reviews, QA/QC governance meetings, MEP/OAC coordination meetings, and commissioning readiness sessions.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience supporting QA/QC programs for data centers or other mission-critical construction environments
Strong technical experience across mechanical, electrical, controls, and commissioning scopes
Experience supporting commissioning programs including Level 1–5 testing processes
Experience with design-build and design-bid-build construction delivery models
Experience managing vendors, contractors, and subcontractors
Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure systems such as power distribution, cooling systems, and controls
Experience using construction quality management tools such as BIM360
Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and lead quality improvement initiatives
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with ACC Autodesk Construction Cloud
Experience with CSLA disciplines
Strong ability to work independently and drive decision-making
Experience supporting high-performance construction programs with minimal oversight
